The GAP Training on Safety of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
Description
Growers participating in this training receive a flash drive with templates to use in writing a farm food safety plan, including templates of record keeping forms and a farm worker training video. There is no fee to attend this workshop; this workshop is supported by a grant from Northwest Regional Sustainable Development Partnership, U of MN, Extension. *NOTE - This course is required for growers selling to Fresh Connect. Bring along to the workshop: • Your farm food safety plan (if you have one or the start of one) • Farm description, mission statement (if you have one), web site info, employee manual (if you have one) • A list of your crops • Farm maps with fields outlined • If you have a packing house/shed/ tent, bring the floor plan(s) that shows product flow from the time it enters the packing area until it leaves • Laptop computer so you can begin to work on your farm food safety plan • Something to write with and something to write on.
