Monday, March 13th - Power Limited for Control, Signal and Communication Systems
This course will have 8 hours covering power limited circuits from the National Electrical Code of 2017, Mike Holt’s Low-Voltage Limited Energy & Communications Systems along with BICSI and ANSI standards on communication and data wiring. In the included articles of the NEC, we will be covering only the sections that deal with power limited circuits. We will also be covering ANSI and BICSI standards for communication systems. There will be a minimum of 3 hours dedicated to Code, with the remaining time spent on discussing/studying standards in the power limited field.
Tuesday, March 14th - Power Limited Refresher
This course will have 8 hours of instruction covering state licensing and inspection requirements of the Minnesota Electrical Act, National Electrical Code requirements of communication circuits, power-limited Class 1, 2 and 3 raceway and cable requirements and low voltage lighting systems. The course meets the 8 hour continuing education requirement for renewal of the Power Limited License for the State of Minnesota and also meets the 8 hours of CE Code requirements for all electricians. The 2014 National Electrical Code Book will be used in this course.
