Drug and Alcohol Recognition Training for Supervisors & Sgt. Jim Senenfelder, Office of Pupil Transp

Presenter: Jane Perrin, Owner, Perrin Mobile Medical Services, Inc.  Jane Perrin will help supervisors understand:

ü    What kinds of observations they need to make and how to document their observations

ü    Common symptoms of alcohol misuse and controlled substance use

ü    How to approach suspected employees and respect employee’s privacy

This training will cover the requirements of 49 CFR Section 382.603 which states in part that “all persons designated to supervise drivers receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use.”  Attendees will receive a certificate of training upon completion.

Session Two  12:00 – 2:00 PM:  Sgt Jim Senenfelder, Office of Pupil Transportation Safety, MN Department of Public Safety

Sgt. Senenfelder will review the CDL Self Certification, the drug and alcohol program, inspections and drivers’  files.
