Lakes Country COMPASS Continuous Improvement supports districts across Minnesota identified by ESSA in strengthening systems through a focused, equitable process of reflection and improvement. The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) identifies schools for support under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) using the North Star accountability system, which focuses on student proficiency, growth, graduation rates, and consistent attendance. We strive to help schools and districts build coherence, examine current practices, and create meaningful change that supports positive outcomes for all students.

 

Support is customized to meet your unique needs, offering a variety of services, including implementation guidance, coaching, planning support, and access to evidence-based resources. We aim to strengthen district and school systems by helping leaders use data, align improvement efforts, and support sustainable implementation practices.

COMPASS support is available at no cost to districts, charter schools, and Tribal schools across Minnesota. We believe in building strong, connected systems that support continuous improvement and equitable access to high-quality instruction for every student.
