Best Practices NetworkLakes Country Service Cooperative's (LCSC) Best Practices Network has been created to assist educators and instructional leaders in Region IV to gain a mastery level of understanding of best practices that work.Districts committed to the Best Practices Network will experience in-depth professional growth directly linked to increased student achievement. Lakes Country Service Cooperative will provide access to nationally known education researchers to enhance the use of best practices throughout Region IV.The Best Practices Network's main priority is to help schools deeply implement high quality initiatives. Therefore, the network will provide six days of support for teachers, school leadership teams and administrators.2013-2014August 26, 2013 - Sharon V. Kramer, PhD, an author and consultant, is a former assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction of Kildeer Countryside School District 96 in Buffalo Grove, IL. She has taught in elementary and middle schools and was a principal, director of elementary education, and professor. As a leader in the field, she emphasizes the importance of creating and using quality assessment as a continual part of the learning process.January 20, 2014 - Marcia B. Imbeau is an associate professor teaching graduate courses in gifted education and elementary education. She is actively involved with University/Public School Partnerships and teaches in a local elementary school as a university liaison. Her professional experience includes serving as a field researcher for the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented, elementary teaching in the regular classroom, teaching in programs for the gifted, and coordinating university-based and Saturday programs for advanced learners.Included in the Best Practices Network* Two keynote presentations for ALL teachers* Three days of support for school leadership teams* One professional development day for administrators to successfully lead the change* Onsite coaching and support as needed* Meals and materials for all participantsFees to participate in the Best Practices Network$1500 + $60 per teacher.
