Happy April, Humans!
I am writing this on a special day… my birthday! I am so excited to be at school today to celebrate my 5th birthday. When I got to school, I was surprised to see that one of my human friends had decorated my classroom for my birthday. Another human friend brought me a squeaky goose and a dog charcuterie toy board. All my student friends gave me special treats today, and one friend who has been struggling to get her work done told me she would finish all her make-up work for my birthday, and she did! It was a great day.
School has been so much fun lately! The warmer weather means more walks, and now more friends are joining me for my daily walk… It’s SO much fun. We all walk laps around the school, but we are allowed to run around and play. My friends like to chase me and try to play tag, but I am so fast that they can’t tag me. Sometimes, to be nice, I stop to let them catch me, which always makes them happy. One of my friends uses a super cool walker and just got new shoes that help him walk, so he gets to come with us on walks, too. I love walking with him!
It’s swimming season, it’s my birthday, and I have the best job ever! Life is good! Happy Birthday to me! me!
Spring
Happy Spring, human friends!!
I got a fresh new haircut for Spring, and I am feeling pretty good about it! I can’t believe it is already April. We had Spring break in March, and I was excited for a much-earned vacation after all my hard work hanging out with students and keeping staff in line. I am sure you can imagine my confusion when I found out my mom was going on vacation without me and leaving me at home. Can you believe that!? Don’t I deserve a vacation?
Other than that grave injustice, life is good! I was very happy about the Spring snowstorm, and I had one more chance to play in the snow. I am turning five this month, April 29th! My mom says we are going to have a party, which I am pretty sure is code for treats and lots of pets; my two favorite things. I still remember my first birthday party, all my dog and human friends came over, and we ate cake, swam in the river, and played with tennis balls. It was the best day ever!
I am still very thankful for my wonderful job. Getting to come to school and hang out with these awesome kids is the best!

Happy February, Humans!
I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day! I felt so loved by all my human friends at LCA. We had a party, and I got so many special Valentine’s gifts. Thank you, everyone!
The students have been using me to help them calm down when they are feeling frustrated or upset. I love being able to help them. I just sit next to them and let them pet me and talk to me about how they are feeling. My mom told me that one student even asked to talk to a picture of me to help her calm down when I wasn’t there. One day, a student said to me, “Oh, Kilo, you make my heart go pitter-patter!” I don’t know what that means, but I think it means he loves me! I also have friends who like to read books to me. I get to work with the best students in the whole world!
Before students get to school, I love walking around and saying hi to all the staff. One staff member even lets me have cheese off her breakfast plate every day; it’s the best. I love cheese, and I love my job!
