Middle School Chili Cookoff!
On January 19, 2023, the middle school team placed each student with a staff member. The goal was to make chili. Beforehand, students picked a recipe and communicated with their staff about the ingredients. Some even had to make a trip to Aldi/ Walmart to purchase the ingredients and the ingredients staff donated. While the students were out shopping, they also conducted price comparisons. It was fun to hear from the students where they thought the "deals" were in town.
On January 20, 2023, the chili was served to the entire building during lunch. Students and staff enjoyed taste testing; the winners were Megan and Angel! They made a delicious white chicken chili. There were eight (chili recipes) crockpots entered into the contest.
